On Monday, April 13, see The Howards of Virginia (1940), starring Cary Grant and Martha Scott. In the 1760s, backwoodsman Matt Howard and royalist Jane Peyton build a plantation in the wilds of Virginia as the fight against England begins.
On Wednesday, May 13, watch Johnny Tremain (1957), starring Hal Stalmaster and Luana Patten. In the early 1770s, apprentice silversmith Johnny Tremain helps the Sons of Liberty, joins the Boston Tea Party, and fights in the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
On Wednesday, June 10, enjoy 1776 (1972), starring William Daniels, Howard da Silva, and Ken Howard. In 1776 at the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson fight for the Declaration of Independence.
On Tuesday, July 14, come for The Scarlet Coat (1955), starring Cornel Wilde and Michael Wilding. In 1780, Colonial double agent Major John Bolton befriends British spymaster Major John André hoping to discover the identity of an American traitor known as Gustavus.
